We do not set weekly spelling tests in Year 1 as spelling is covered in our phonics lessons. We practice tricky words in these lessons too.
 

There is a list of words that Year 1s are expected to be able to spell by the end of the year at the back of their reading diaries and below on the webpage.  Regular practise of these at home will help them to achieve this.
