Science Week

Koala class had a brilliant time of discovery during Science Week. They began by baking bread and saw how the dough rose.  The children saw the air bubbles in the baked bread.

Then Koalas did a science experiment to see the effect of different temperatures of water on the reaction of yeast, sugar and water.  The children loved to see how the balloons filled with air at different rates.

Music

In music, Koalas have used instruments to create the story of the Three Little Pigs without words!  A great deal of noisy fun was had by all!

Passport to the World - United Kingdom

The Koalas have been learning all about the United Kingdom for our Passport to the World week.  We have discovered the sights of London and the landmarks of all four countries of the UK. We have also learnt about the Royal Family and found out a bit more about King Charles III.

The Koalas have practised singing the national anthem and have enjoyed Morris Dancing (see the video below).

To finish off the week we had a fabulous royal tea party with scones, cream and jam!
