Spring Term

Spring Term 2

P.E. - Yoga

R.E. - Judaism

Polar Bears had a fun afternoon creating their own Sukkahs using natural materials as part of their RE learning about Judaism.

Science Week

Polar Bears have LOVED science week. We had some eggstremely creative ideas about how to protect our eggs for our ‘great egg drop’. Well done!

Design and Technology - Food: A Balanced Diet

We have been revising our science learning about healthy eating in readiness for our Design and Technology project this half term which is all about Food:  A Balanced Diet. Through their exploration of what makes a balanced diet, children will taste test food combinations of different food groups. They will also aim to make a wrap that includes a healthy mix of protein, vegetables and dairy, and learn about the term ‘hidden sugars’.

Here are videos of the children revising their previous knowledge:

Spring Term 1

Art

Polar Bears have been perfecting their art skills and have focused on creating long, even strokes with the paintbrush.  We then challenged ourselves to paint a rollercoaster ride.

Science

Polar Bears absolutely loved looking at baby photographs of each other as part of our science learning about human lifecycles.

Passport to the World Week

We loved learning all about India during passport to the world week. We found India on a world map, located the capital city New Delhi and researched some facts about the country. Then we compared our daily routines to a little girl called Anushka and learned all about the art and culture in India. To end the week we cooked a lentil dahl and tasted some Indian food. What fun!
