Sponsored Silence

On Friday 26th March, Giraffes took part in a sponsored silence to raise money to adopt an owl. During their research for their non-chronological reports on owls, the class discovered that owl numbers were declining and wanted to help. The class managed to say quiet for the whole morning and raised over £100.

Over the past two weeks, Giraffes have been working on creating a non-fiction book all about owls. They have each written a non-chronological report and they worked really hard to edit them using editing stations. They can’t wait to gift their book to all the classes.

This week, Kyra noticed that one of the display boards outside school was looking a little drab so she recruited some helpers! Together, they worked hard to fill it with eye catching posters and information about current events at school. It really has brightened it up. Well done!

We were lucky enough to receive a generous gift from Community Books in Grantham. They sent us a book all about Captain Tom to share together.
