Welcome to Giraffes!
Welcome to Year 6 - the final chapter of primary school. This is an exciting year filled with new learning opportunities and experiences. It will certainly be a year they won't forget. We have a range of diverse and engaging topics such as WW2, South Africa, volcanoes, mountains and earthquakes. In October, all Year 6 have the opportunity to attend a residential alongside our friends from Marston. This year we are travelling to Aylmerton!
As well as supporting children to reach their academic potential, the children will gain more independence ready for their transition to secondary school. They are also given many additional responsibilities around the school, such as Head Boy/Girl and prefects.
The children will be expected to work hard but in return, they will be rewarded with happy memories, strong friendships, growing perseverance and courage to tackle all the adventures ahead.
The Year 6 Team:
Class Teacher - Miss A Critchley
Teaching Assistant - Mrs L McClintock
Apprentice Teaching Assistant - Miss J Gilbert
Volunteer - Miss J Brittain
We have an open door policy so please feel free to come chat to us at the end of the day about any queries, questions or concerns.
