Art - Structure and Design
Koalas have learnt about structures and design by designing and creating clay models of snail shells. They also designed and made Junk model creatures.
Science - Plants
Koalas enjoyed going out onto the field to take a close look at the leaves and bark on all of our trees. They are learning how to identify different trees.
Geography
Our World
In Year 1, we really enjoyed using compasses to describe the direction of physical landmarks around the world. We enjoyed travelling around the world describing the directions of the places.
Design and Technology
Cooking and Nutrition: Fruit and Vegetables
Koalas enjoyed learning about fruit and vegetables. Firstly, they prepared some and then taste tested which combinations went well with each other.
Not many children enjoyed the banana and carrot combination.
