Home Learning Activities Monday 23rd January 2023

Good morning Pandas,

Here are some home learning activities that you can complete at home today. They have also been posted on class dojo so please feel free to share photographs or comment on your child's learning at home.

MATHS

Watch the following video about the Number 5, we have watched snippets of it together at school. Then, using pasta, Lego or other small counters, can you find different ways to make 5. We have been using the phrase 2 and 3 makes 5 at school. Perhaps you could record what you find using the add, equal and subtraction signs.

You could also make your own frogs and log and sing along to 5 Little Speckled Frogs to help deepen your knowledge of the composition of 5.

PHONICS

Read your reading book to an adult and practise the graphemes and words in your phonics homework books. We have been working on remembering our Tricky Words.

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT

Play outside! Go for a walk, play football, practise your skipping or throwing and catching. Maybe go on a winter walk and draw the different things you can see or even see if you can spot any 2D shapes whilst you are out and about.

KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORLD

We have learned about animals that live in cold places and hot places. Choose your favourite animal we have learned about and draw it, paint it or make it from play dough and then see if you can write a fact about your animal. Where does it live? What does it look like? What does it eat?
