Spring Term
Science - Rocks and Fossils
As part of Science week, we made our own fossils and learnt more about the palaeontologist Mary Anning. This linked in brilliantly with our science work last time on rocks alongside our science research on famous scientists.
We made salt dough and then used a range of items to create our own patterns and fossils. We think they look brilliant. Well done tigers!

Homework - Annie completed Mrs Copson’s baking challenge - Oh they were delicious!!!
Theseus and the Minotaur
Linked to the Greek myth writing lessons, Tigers did a conscious alley speaking the inner thoughts of the nasty king.
Here a group recited from their writing about Theseus and the Minotaur, thinking about the different tones of voice for each character.
Art - Tinting and Toning.

Are they sedimentary, igneous or metamorphic???
Design and Technology
Here’s tiger class practicing their cross stitch and appliqué skills. We’ve loved sewing and are now ready to design and make our cushions over the next few weeks.

Our New Class Book - Star in the Jar by Sam Hay
Tigers held an experience day on Tuesday 5th January 2022 for their new class book by making stars. This took concentration and a lot of patience. Tigers had great fun making their stars.
Don’t they look amazing hanging in the school library?
