We strive to ensure that our pupil’s attainment is in line with or exceeds their potential when we consider the various starting points of all our children. We measure our intentions using formative and summative assessment including;
- Progress in Star Reader Assessments
- Accelerated Reader quizzes
- Progress in books
- Regular monitoring by the subject leader
- Termly writing assessments (assessed against our school’s Writing Assessment Frameworks)
- Yearly GPS NFER assessments
- Statutory spelling assessment and weekly spelling assessments
