  • Operation Christmas Child

    Fri 21 Oct 2022

Following the support we have had from parents/carers in previous years, we shall once again be supporting the Samaritans' Operation Christmas Child appeal.

We understand with the current climate that to buy and fill a shoebox may be difficult for families. If you would like to make a donation towards filling a box, there is a box in the  school foyer to put any donations in.

Please see for information for shoebox filler ideas.

Shoeboxes will be available to buy at £1 each from the school office if you would like to fill your own, or alternatively purchase a pre-packed shoebox from the website following the link:

    www.samaritans-purse.org.uk/pre-packed-shoebox

Shoeboxes and donation box will be available from

    Monday 31st October 2022.

Please can all shoeboxes be returned to the school office by Friday 12th November 2022.

    Many thanks

  • Remembrance Pebbles

    Tue 18 Oct 2022

The school will be taking part in various activities in the run up to Remembrance day this year.

One of these activities is to paint a poppy on a pebble.

To ensure all children are able to take part in this, we are asking children to bring their own pebble into school the week commencing 31st October.

The pebble should be roughly the size of the child's palm and smooth enough to paint on.

    Many thanks.

  • Letter from Mrs Bedford - Parent Governor Election Nomination

    Tue 18 Oct 2022

Are you committed to the school? Willing to ask questions and offer appropriate support and challenge?

If so, then you may be interested to learn of an exciting opportunity that has arisen within the governing board for a new Parent Governor. You do not need to have educational expertise but to be willing to work as an enthusiastic and committed member of the governing board team to support the raising and maintaining of high educational standards. The role of parent governor is to guide the strategic development of the school rather than the day-to-day management.

We welcome applications from all parents/carers with an interest in this role but particularly nominations from underrepresented or different ethnic minorities and/or those with an understanding of the primary or secondary curriculum, as these areas have been identified as areas to develop on our current board.

The closing date for nominations is 8th November. Please click on the following link: 'Meet the Governors' Webpage to see the letter and information if you are interested and a parent/carer of a child registered at the school. . A nomination letter will be sent home with the children  on Tuesday, 18th October 2022..

    Many thanks

    Elaine Bedford
