  • KS2 Carols By Candlelight

    Tue 14 Dec 2021

The KS2 children put on wonderful performances of their musical abilities and singing.  Despite the change of venue, from St Sebastian's Church to the school playground, the children put on an amazing performance which included violin, guitar, Christmas bells and even ukulele playing! It was great to be able to share the children's musical accomplishments, here are a few pictures from the concert:

  • Urgent Details on Cancelled/Postponed Christmas Activities

    Mon 06 Dec 2021

Unfortunately, we are seeing a rise in positive COVID-19 cases in both staff and children across school.  We have therefore made the difficult decision to amend, cancel or postpone events in order to protect children, families and staff in the run up to Christmas.  I know that this is very disappointing and really appreciate your continued support.

    KS1 Nativity 7th and 8th December - School Hall

We are still planning to go ahead with the nativities but would ask everyone to wear a face mask, unless exempt, and would appreciate you taking a lateral flow test before coming into school. A one way system for entrance and exit to the event will be in place.

    Christmas Discos KS1 & KS2 Thursday 9th December 2021

The discos will be postponed to January. The new date will be confirmed in the New Year. All tickets already purchased will be rolled over to the new date. If you would prefer a full refund please message the PTFA directly either on Facebook or by email at stseb.ptfa@gmail.com and this will be organised for you.

    KS2 Breakfast with Santa - Monday 13th December 2021

Sadly we have taken the decision to cancel the event. We will organise a full refund for all booked on. Santa will still ensure that every child who has a space booked still receives a present and special note via school. Parents do not need to contact us for this refund, it will be organised as soon as possible.

    Christmas Raffle

The Christmas raffle will continue as our main fundraising event this term. Tickets have been sent home with students and will still be available before the nativity play, at the Christmas Carols night and from the village post office. If you would like more tickets these are available from school reception. Further details on the raffle can be found on the PTFA Facebook page and previous ParentMail.

Carols by Candlelight Tuesday 14th December 2021

This will now be held in the playground straight after school at 3.30pm.  We will try and make this as festive as possible for everyone.

Church Service Wednesday 15th December 2021

Sadly, we have taken the decision to cancel this event.

    Pantomime Tuesday 14th December 2021

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the pantomime at Marston. We are arranging for the children to watch a virtual pantomime with treats in their classes. We will be issuing a full refund for this via ParentMail.

    After School Activities

There will be no after school clubs or activities from Tuesday 7th December 2021.  Drama club will still go ahead Monday 6th December 2021.

Belvoir Castle Choir on Sunday 12th December 2021

We will continue as arranged on Sunday but will now be singing outside of Belvoir Castle rather than in the ballroom.

Christmas parties and Christmas dinner will still take place with children in their classes. After school and breakfast club are both also still open until the end of term.

Please do get in touch with the office if you have any questions. Thank you again for your understanding.

    Kind Regards

    Mrs Waddell
