Art and Design

Shadow Puppets

Tigers created a cat and mice shadow/stick puppets using a range of materials and art techniques. They had such fun making the puppets, performed their shows in a 'theatre' and enjoyed watching each other’s performances.

Science - Plants

As part of our science topic on plants, Tigers had a fun way to learn all about pollination.

Art and Design Skills

Tigers used their new found skills in drawing and sketching by planning how to transform an unwanted, old sock into a cat 'monster' puppet.

The children’s imaginations went wild and the puppets looked very unique and wonderful!

Art

Tigers enjoying the outdoor art lesson today,  developing their drawing skills. Everyone brought in a toy and used their skills in drawing, sketching, shading and toning to create these amazing drawings.

Linking perfectly to their History topic of Romans.

Looking great Tigers!

Scrum Kids - We had fun in a trial session of Scrum Kids showing our rugby skills. Maybe we have some future rugby stars in the making.

Jubilee Street Party Fun!

Verity has created this wonderful piece of homework linked to our geography unit on rivers. Isn’t it amazing! Great work Verity

D.T. - Pneumatic Toys

We’ve had such fun making our pneumatic toys this term. It links brilliantly with our science topic on ‘forces’ and we certainly had some pink, rosy, puffed out cheeks as we blew the balloons up to make our toys work.

Don’t they look awesome!!!

Homework Projects

Under Construction!

Tigers have begun construction of their pneumatic toys in DT.

Watch this space for the finished products soon!

Geography

In Geography this term, our subject is Rivers.  Tigers will learn about major rivers of England and the World including our very local river, the River Witham. They will gain knowledge on the features of a river and the water cycle.

Here are our paper plates water cycles.

Design Technology

In DT we have started our new topic on pneumatic toys. First of all, we learned about air resistance and how this works using 2 syringes and some tubing. We then had super fun playing air football.

We will be using this for making our own pneumatic toys.

P.T.F.A. Prize!

We enjoyed our bouncy castle and pizza treat which was our winning prize for collecting the most coins for the PTFA.

We had a beautiful sunshine afternoon of fun.

Thank you so much to the PTFA – we LOVED it!!!

Science - Magnets

Tigers have been exploring magnets in science: looking at how they work, that they can attract and repel and why they are important.

Summer Term Homework Projects - all showing our school value of 'Creativity'. Well Done.

P.E.

A great Inspire+ P.E. session with Sasha, developing running techniques as Tigers start their athletics unit. Great fun in the sunshine.

Cricket Engagement Day on Thursday 21st April 2022
