History of our Village, Great Gonerby

As part of our local history study about Great Gonerby, Polar Bears were lucky enough to have a guided tour around the village with Jeff Thompson. We learned so much about key historical features in the village and how life in the village of Great Gonerby has changed.

We are enjoying our art learning this term and drew some fantastic self-portraits in the style of the artist Opie. 

Instruction Writing in English

Planting bulbs as part of our instruction writing learning. Quote of the day "this is the best English lesson ever!" Look out for our brilliant instructions.

Geography

Polar Bears had such fun finding key landmarks in Grantham using Google Maps.  They were all keen to go home and find their own houses using Google maps.

Bird Feeders

Polar Bears LOVED following instructions to make bird feeders to start our new English Instruction writing unit. We got a little bit messy! Once they have set, we will bring them home with a bird spotting guide. How many birds will you spot in your garden? Perhaps you could take a photo of any birds you see near your feeder.
