In music this term, we are learning to play the ukulele with Mrs LIversidge. We can't wait to show you what we have learnt.
Art
In Art this term, we are thinking about how we can make our voice heard through our art. We have looked at graffiti, considering whether it is art or crime, before creating our own name tag. We have also looked at the work of Kathe Kollwitz and how she expresses emotion through art. We used charcoal and the chiaroscuro technique to create portraits that portrayed different emotions. Can you guess we emotion we are portraying?
Science - The Circulatory System
We are busy learning all about he circulatory system this term with Mrs Liversidge. She organised an amazing hands on experience for the class - exploring a pig's heart! What a great opportunity that certainly won't be forgotten anytime soon!
English - The Journey by Francesca Sanna
In English this term, we have been looking at the book 'The Journey' by Francesca Sanna. The books is about a family of refugees who are fleeing their war torn country in search of safe place to live. We have had some great experience days to help us get inside the heads of the characters in the story. We can't wait for you to read our final stories!
