Homework and Projects Winter/Spring Term 2020

Below you will find a bingo grid with homework projects related to our Winter/Spring work.

  • Your child will be expected to complete one project every 2 weeks on a Friday, beginning on Friday the 17th of January 2020.
  • You can choose to complete the tasks in any order or adapt one.
  • How you present the information/finished work is up to you, if it is suitable you may like to put it in your project journal.  You may wish to take a photograph of something your child creates/finds or video your child re-telling a story and add it onto Tapestry.

We are learning about China and Chinese New Year. Can your child look up where they live on a map and where China is?

Sammy Squirrel hid 5 nuts for the winter. He has already eaten 1. How many has he got left? You could draw a picture or use your fingers to work out the answer.

Can your child think of a maths problem for the class to solve?

Can you design a scarf? Can you draw it, paint it or even use different materials to make a collage?

 

Can you draw a picture of someone dressed for a cold winter day and label the clothes they are wearing to keep them warm and dry?

 

Can you look in a book and find any of these words? Which words did you spot the most times?

Can your child re-tell a story to an audience?

Can you go on a winter walk or look in your garden for local wildlife? Can you see any birds or animals? How are they surviving in the cold conditions? Has anything changed since the summer?

Can your child take a photograph of something interesting they find on their winter walk to show the class?

  • Your child will be expected to complete one project every 2 weeks on a Friday, beginning on Friday the 20th of September 2019
  • You can choose to complete the tasks in any order or adapt one. 
  • How you present the information/finished work is up to you, if it is suitable you may like to put it in your project journal (A4). You may wish to take a photograph of something your child creates/finds or video your child saying a rhyme or singing a song and add it onto Tapestry.
